Guizhou is a concentrated place for masks, and it has Luo mask, local drama mask and Chuotaiji. Local drama was a Han culture taken from the mainland to the southwest that the emperor of Ming dynasty declared a war to the south in the 14th century. The mask combines the techniques of hollow carvings and shallow carvings, showing a strong visible effect for its changeable designs, grotesque images and mysterious movements. It simulates the life scene during the wartime.
